Emma Watson Changes Course; Chooses Career Over School (For Now)

The pressures of leading a busy double-life as student and actress seems to have caught up with “Harry Potter” star Emma Watson, as she announced on her website this morning that she will be scaling back her classes at Brown University to focus more on her career.
The 20-year old actress will begin promotions for the final Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, in the next few months; she is also scheduled to begin shooting the film The Perks of Being a Wallflower with Logan Lerman (Percy Jackson) this summer. Additionally, Watson has been very busy promoting her own clothing line with People Tree.
Watson, who is currently in her second year of classes at Brown, does plan to continue her studies; according to the statement on her website, “ I will still be working towards my degree… it’s just going to take me a semester or two longer than I thought : )”
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 will be in theaters July 15, 2011.
